$24000 Worth of Marijuana Left at Washington Goodwill Store

A cooler full of marijuana was donated over the weekend to a Goodwill in Monroe.

Everyone knows a stoner who's generous with their weed, but one Washington resident went above and beyond when they donated five large bags of marijuana to Goodwill.

That's likely because although individuals age 21 and over can possess up to an ounce of weed in Washington state, the almost four pounds found that are now in Monroe Police possession is well over the legal limit.

The police estimated the stash was worth $24,000, according to Fox Q13, which drew some derision on Twitter.

The 3.75 pounds found in the cooler amounts to 59 ounces above the legal limit.

So cops are now examining surveillance footage to see if they can figure out who the kind person was that donated the pot. Police said it will stay in the evidence locker until it's destroyed.

Employees sorting through donations at the Monroe, Wash., store found the weed on Monday.

Ms. Boury said that she has encountered even stranger donations during her time with the charity. This included a more than 100-year-old Native American skull.
