Chuck Berry, Rock 'n' Roll Legend, Dies at 90

Rock "n" roll musician Chuck Berry has died after being found unresponsive at his home, police said.

"St. Charles County police responded to a medical emergency on Buckner Road at approximately 12:40 p.m. today (Saturday, March 18)".

After unsuccessful attempts at reviving him, first responders declared him dead at 1:26 pm.

Although Elvis Presley was called the king of rock "n" roll, that crown would have fit just as well on the carefully sculpted pompadour of Charles Edward Anderson Berry.

When Richards inducted Berry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, he said: "It's very hard for me to talk about Chuck Berry because I've lifted every lick he ever played".

Berry is one of the pioneers of rock and roll music and considered one of the greatest artists of all time.

Berry was known for his unconventional style of performing on stage, his trademark duckwalk, use of Gibson guitars and his dynamic blues-based guitar riffs, according to IMDB.

Later in life, Berry would serve another prison stint after running into trouble with the Internal Revenue Service, Rolling Stone reported. The singer announced on his 90th birthday in October 2016 that he was planning to release a new studio album in 2017, his first in 38 years.
