That put the Cats up 63-59 and provided what were ultimately the winning points of the game. Leading scorer Luke Kennard had his second straight subpar shooting game, finishing 1 of 6 for 11 points before fouling out.

MI 73, Louisville 69: In Indianapolis, Moe Wagner scored a career-high 26 points and spurred a furious second-half rally to send MI past second-seeded Louisville on Sunday and into the Sweet 16.

"We were just playing defense", Adebayo said of his block of Shamet. Most of the time, I'm not looking at the guy guarding me. "He pumped faked and I knew he was going to to shoot it, so I just went up and tried to block it".

Terry Maston scored 19 points, King McClure added 17 and Manu Lecomte scored all 12 of his points in the final 5 minutes for the Bears (27-7), who advanced to play Duke or SC in the Sweet 16. They'll face either UCLA (30-4) or Cincinnati (30-5) on Friday in Memphis, Tenn.

Coach Gregg Marshall thought the Shockers were slighted when they got a No. 10 seed.

"There weren't many words to be said, postgame", junior Rashard Kelly said.

Kentucky's freshmen backcourt of De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk struggled for much of Sunday's second-round win over No. 10 seed Wichita State, but the young duo took over when it mattered most.

Adebayo joined Frank Ramsey and Julius Randle as the only Wildcats ever to have double-doubles in each of his first two NCAA Tournament games. The freshman scored 20 points to lead the Shockers.

Derek Willis had nine points and eight rebounds.

It was a tight game throughout. There were 11 lead changes and the score was tied three times.

Three years ago, Wichita State was 35-0 when it lost to Kentucky in the second round, crestfallen after Fred Van Vleet's 3-pointer missed at the buzzer of Kentucky's 78-76 win. That was part of a 25-14 run that took the Wildcats from four down to seven ahead.

Drew Franklin wrote in a post on Kentucky Sports Radio: 'I guess it didn't make anyone else upset when she told Malik Monk to get in the weight room or told Isaiah Briscoe to buy some bigger shorts or told Calipari to "shut the f*** up" or told Roger Ayers he is garbage or any of the other classy things she yelled between F-bombs'. "They really grind it out". In 2014, the Shockers were the 4th most efficient team (Pomeroy), and as of this morning, the 2017 Shockers are the 5th most efficient team (Pomeroy). "Those were gutty shots. He made a big play for us and that's why we won that game". "He's a good player".

Wichita State saw its season end in dramatic fashion Sunday against Kentucky. The first three cut into a Wichita State run and sparked a 7-0 run for United Kingdom that gave them the lead.
