Jimi Manuwa's first-round knockout electrifies UFC in London

He took out Corey Anderson in the first round, dropping him with a walk-off left hook that ignited his fellow fighters on Twitter. But he's been suspended for one year because he's had issues before.

Given that the notion of mixed martial artists switching to boxing is all the rage nowadays, with talk of Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather growing more credible by the day, who's to say that Manuwa vs. Haye doesn't become a reality?

"Listen, listen", Manuwa said, "I want the victor of DC and 'Rumble.' It's time for a title shot now".

Haye, a former world heavyweight and cruiserweight champion, is now recovering from the ruptured Achilles that hindered him so badly in his grudge match with Tony Bellew last month.

"When he comes back, I'll fight him".

Jones is highly expected to take on the victor of the upcoming championship rematch between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson, which will headline UFC 210 on April 8, 2017, a title fight Manuwa says he deserves.

Jon Jones hasn't been as active, as the former champion was stripped of his interim title and has been serving a one year suspension ever since. So, I'm not really interested. Before, I was a big fan of Jon and the things he's done in the octagon.

"Just like when they called me for this fight, I told them I'll fight whoever", Anderson said to MMA Junkie. "No problem. But I'm focused on the belt right now, and that's the victor of (the UFC 210 headliner)".

Cormier (18-1) is scheduled to defend his title against Johnson (22-5) at UFC 210 next month in Buffalo.

After the fight, he said: "That was one of the great moments for me, getting a knockout in front of my home crowd in London". For Manuwa, that kind of power deserves either a shot at UFC gold or a former heavyweight champion boxer. So, I'd like to avenge that loss against the most feared man probably on the UFC roster in "Rumble" Johnson.

With that said, "The Poster Boy" has gone 3-2 in his past five contests overall, suffering knockout losses to Anthony Johnson and Alexander Gustafsson in that time.

The final performance bonus was won by Marc Diakiese who KO'd Teemu Packalen in truly stunning fashion just 30 seconds into their preliminary card fight. I want to go home, start training again and keep on improving. He's fought Teixeira, who is one-dimensional and doesn't have the variety of striking that I've got.
