Woman Dies After Getting Butt Lift Surgery in Florida

The surgery took place at Eres Plastic Surgery in Hialeah - the clinic where Heather Meadows died previous year at 29 from the same procedure. The grieving mother added that she is "looking for answers". They were anxious for her, and they urged her not to undergo this popular Brazilian butt lift surgery.

Ranika Hall left behind a 1-year-old daughter, according to Nicole Hall.

At around 9pm on Thursday, paramedics were called to the business after Ms Hall had lost consciousness and stopped breathing.

"Her sisters and her brothers tried to talk her out of it".

A 25-year-old woman residing in Missouri, underwent a Brazilian butt lift surgery in Miami, Florida, which went awry, resulting in her untimely death.

She booked the procedure at the Eres Plastic Surgery in Hialeah, near Miami.

"Dr. Daniel Calva and Eres Plastic Surgery express their deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our patient who had recently undergone a cosmetic procedure at our center on Thursday evening".

The clinic said in a statement Friday night that it is "deeply saddened by what has occurred" with Hall, and that the surgeon "is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to his patients". Apparently, Miami-Dade coroners claimed in her autopsy report that Meadows died because of some fat cloths which caused her organs to fail. After this woman's death, the clinic changed its name into Encore Plastic Surgery, and it was no longer under the same ownership.

Incidentally, this is not the first time that someone who had approached the center for the Brazilian Butt Lift surgery had died. It is however very hard to find the actual number of deaths since most centers simply do not report such deaths.

In the Brazilian butt lift, fat is taken from the stomach or back and injected into the backside to make it bigger. The woman's death is the latest in at least 11 deaths reportedly due to plastic surgery complications in South Florida since 2010, NBC 6 reports.

An investigation into Hall's death is ongoing.
