Colin Kaepernick: 5 Teams That Should Consider Giving QB a Chance

The 49ers certainly had no problem backing Kaepernick's causes past year - the team matched the quarterback's $1 million pledge. "They want to move on".

It's been over a week and a half since free agency begun and Colin Kaepernick is still looking for work.

Movie director Spike Lee made that connection in an Instagram post after having brunch with Kaepernick in NY, saying it "Smells MAD Fishy To Me, Stinks To The High Heavens". How Is It That There Are 32 NFL Teams And Kap Is Still A Free Agent? WTF. However, on Sunday evening, Lee was outspoken regarding the NFL as his friend in former San Francisco 49ers' quarterback and current unrestricted free agent Colin Kaepernick has yet to find a new home around the league. By Spike Lee claiming that there is a conspiracy taking place and alluding to Kaepernick getting blackballed by the National Football League, it may only worsen his attempts to find a new team.

"They think there might be protests or (President) Trump will tweet about the team. I think some teams also want to use Kaepernick as a cautionary tale to stop other players in the future from doing what he did".

Unfortunately for Kaepernick, everything has seemed to go downhill from a football perspective since the 49ers made an appearance in that NFC Championship game due to injuries and the organization in general seeming like a mess.

It makes sense on multiple fronts that Lee would campaign the New York Jets to take on Kaepernick. Lee pressed his hometown team to sign Kaepernick. Which begs the question: Why is Colin Kaepernick, who was not entirely awful during the 2016 season, still unsigned? Who Is The J-E-T-S Quarterback?

Colin Kaepernick had a pretty good season playing quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers last season, all things considered. Kaepernick was protesting police treatment of minorities in the country. If a GM hates you, he won't sign up, and if a team fears retaliation from its fans, they surely won't sign you.
