Ivanka Trump Will Have West Wing Office, But No Official Title

Ivanka Trump has been given an office in the White House's West Wing that was adjacent to one of President Donald Trump's most trusted senior advisers, according to a new report.

And though the first daughter has appointed Abigail Klem to be president of her brand, Ivanka will still have veto power over any deals that are "unacceptable from an ethics perspective".

Ivanka Trump, woman-for-campaign-purposes and daughter of a poorly-executed pumpkin pie that was set on the window to cool and accidentally fell out, has several "fashion" lines that everyone seems to have collectively made a decision to no longer fuck with.

Richard Painter, a University of Minnesota law professor who served as President George W. Bush's chief White House lawyer on ethics, said that Ivanka Trump is effectively working as a White House employee. She would have to disclose additional financial information if she were in a senior White House role, said Painter. "She has the conflicts that derive from the ownership of this brand. But that implicates all kind of formal and disclosure issues".

"Having an adult child of the president who is actively engaged in the work of the administration is new ground", Jamie Gorelickk told Politico of Ivanka Trump, who would be the president's "eyes and ears". But she has handed daily management to the company president and has set up a trust to provide further oversight. Ivanka Trump will also be able to veto proposed new transactions.

However the plug was immediately slammed, with some claiming it was in violation of a law that prohibits those in public office using their position "for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated". In January, she announced that she and her husband, Jared Kushner, would be moving to the nation's capital - but she would be taking time off to focus on her family. Trump herself has since stepped down from her company, which nevertheless retains her name.

President Trump's businesses, which include his luxury hotels and golf courses, still do business with foreign interests, and he has not divested his interests. The proceeds and royalties will be donated to charity, Gorelick said.
