'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy' News: Nathan Drake Will Not Appear At All

Naughty Dog went on to say that they'd entertained the idea of having Nate show up, but everything felt superfluous because it was so perfectly tied up at the end of Uncharted 4.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be released exclusively for the PS4 later this year.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will take the series one step closer to becoming open-world.

Firstly, it's been confirmed that Nathan Drake will not play a part in this standalone title at all.

Through a post published recently on the official PlayStation Blog, Sony has released a network of interesting information about Uncharted The Lost Legacy, along with some pictures that give us a glimpse of the location and characters of this first expansion of Uncharted 4.

"They're opposites. Chloe is spontaneous and impulsive, where Nadine is by the book, structured".

Speaking of Uncharted 4, The Lost Legacy takes place six to 12 months after the events of the fourth game.

The developer also said it'll incorporate lessons learned during the development of the main game into The Lost Legacy, such as balancing environmental puzzles with action moments, climbing and so on. The weapon will allow players to become more tactical in their approach and expands the series' stealth kill repertoire by not consisting of only melee kills.

It was also revealed that the expansion will be longer than the Left Behind expansion for The Last Of Us but shorter than Uncharted 4, though it will contain the biggest levels in the series yet. Are you excited to see what an Uncharted game without Nathan Drake will be like? To get ahead of endless questions about it, Sid asked writer Josh Scherr about a possible Nathan Drake cameo. But the story isn't all the Uncharted expansion is looking to deliver on, as according to Game Director Kurt Margenau, The Lost Legacy will feature "the biggest [area] ever for an Uncharted game".
