Dawson double gives West Brom 3-1 win over Arsenal

A downbeat Arsene Wenger said he has decided on his Arsenal future and would reveal all soon after his side slumped to a dismal 3-1 defeat at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. "You will soon know".

After being down with flu and out of action in the last two games, Nigerian worldwide, Alex Iwobi, returned to action for Arsenal on Saturday in the English Premier League.

A 10-2 aggregate defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League badly damaged Wenger's standing while the setback on Saturday was their fourth loss in five top-flight matches and leaves them sixth in the table.

Having to play any stretch without him would be a big blow to the Gunners, but having to do so now, when they've lost four of five in the league to fall out of the top four, would be disastrous.

The 67-year-old Wenger has previously said he will announce a decision on his future "in March or April".

Anti-Wenger fans flew a plane over The Hawthorns trailing a banner saying: "No contract Wenger out" although another later proclaimed "In Arsene We Trust #RESPECTAW".

It is understood that, contrary to reports from German newspaper Bild, Arsenal have not made an official approach to Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel and seem resolved to stand by Wenger.

"I know what I will do", said Wenger.

Wenger confirmed that Cech was forced off with a calf problem and that Sanchez was substituted after a knock to his ankle.

"We lose game after game at the moment and that for me is much more important than my future".

"In the end we had to take him off".

"I think he's the greatest manager Arsenal have ever had, " said Pulis.

Arsenal face Manchester City away from home at the start of April and a huge improvement is needed if anything positive is to come from that match- and all we can do is identify the things we learned from this horror result.

"We are what we are and they've done fantastically well to achieve the 40 points in the time that we've done it". We lack certain things.

"I understand, you raise the bar and if you don't reach that again you and the players are going to get criticism".

That has never happened under Wenger, whose last Premier League title was 13 years ago.
