Fonda and Tomlin Savor Senioritis as 'Grace and Frankie'

"She's the main hitch because Frankie, being what she is, is just not good business; she's hard to reign in and I end up having to tell her what to do because she just blows it all the time".

Season three saw Grace and Frankie go into business, creating vibrators for older women with arthritis.

"Grace and Frankie" follows unlikely roommates, Fonda and Tomlin, who bond after their husbands come out and leave them for each other.

Colbert asked Fonda, "What is the business you go into?" "By the time you get to the third season, it's time to now deal with them living their lives and how do you live your life in the aftermath of all this, and included in that is the idea of these women becoming self-determined women in their late 70s".

While age is also undoubtedly a recurring theme in Grace & Frankie, there's always a sense of whimsy and reminiscing.

"When we did Friends, we were told we have to have older characters in it so it would appeal to a broader audience".

"I think nobody should run for president unless they've passed a psychological test", the actress said. "I saw the next day's dailies and I was so good!".

What do you love most about the friendship between Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin?

The trio has yet to make the get-together happen, but Lily insists they haven't given up hope. It's finally a style anyone can emulate in everyday life, without looking like they just stepped out of a two hour salon appointment.

Peter Gallagher's addition to the cast adds another strong veteran to the show's ranks. Peter Gallagher is also well known for movie roles in Mr. Deeds, American Beauty, and While You Were Sleeping.

Lily portrays hippie art teacher Frances "Frankie" Bergstein opposite Jane as retired cosmetics mogul Grace Hanson in the Netflix comedy. In the Deadline interview, Marta Kauffman confirmed that Grace and Frankie will return for a fourth season as episodes are already in production.

"Normally this would be the section of the interview where I would say, 'what is the premise of season 3 - what are you selling?'" Guthrie, 45, said after a clip from the show played.
