Conway rec department plans Easter egg hunts for ages 1 through 13

Bring your own basket. The 1- to 3-year-old treasure hunters will be in the section nearest the pavilion. The age groups are 2-4; 5-7; and 8-10.

Kids should tune up their seeking skills in preparation for Saturday's Community Easter Egg Hunt. Children are also encouraged to keep a sharp look out for the gold and silver colored eggs and eggs marked first, second, and third place, which win the large Easter baskets given as prizes. The Easter Bunny will also make a special appearance. The Easter Bunny will be ready for photos, and there will be special entertainment, music and extra surprises such as a visit from the Easter Panda and Smokey the Bear.

Some of the eggs will be loaded with prizes, some from local retailers, including $5,000 in gift cards to cover your Easter grocery shopping.

The event was hosted by the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District.

Easter is once again nearly here and children around Durban are looking forward to a holiday filled with sweet treats, chocolate eggs and loads of colourful candy. For information, call Lions members Lori or Doug Linn at 815-942-8262.
