Is Samsung planning dual cameras for the Galaxy Note 8?

While typical LCD screens in smartphones utilize three equally-sized subpixels - red, green, and blue - the Galaxy S8's AMOLED panel features an unconventional layout where small, oval-shaped green pixels sit between much larger, diamond-shaped red and blue pixels.

We all know that Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones are getting launched in India, today, probably in a couple of minutes. Flipkart is the online partner for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ and it will also be available via select offline retail stores.

Photos posted on Twitter by tech blogger Eldar Murtazin reveal the frontside and backside of what looks to be a Galaxy S8. Both phones have the IRIS scanner. Both the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will come with a brand new display.

The Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch display screen, while the Galaxy S8+ has a 6.2-inch screen.

Under the hood it runs the Exynos 8895 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. They removed the front home button and instead of placing the fingerprint button in place of the home button they placed the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone below the camera. Both phones get 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM - expandable to 200GB. Apart from this, Samsung has also partnered with Reliance Jio to roll out "Double Data Offer" for a monthly recharge of Rs 309 where users will 56GB of 4G data along with free calls and SMS per month which makes it 448GB for 8 months. The Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ both are running on Android 7.0 Nougat based Samsung Experience software. But rather than coming as Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, the device is reported to move forward as Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Samsung Pay is also supported out-of-the-box. The phablet's shooter reportedly features 3X optical zoom, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens featuring "CIS supporting dual photodiodes, with a 13-megapixel telephoto CIS, dual 6P lenses and dual OIS", according to Kuo.
