McNuggets order led police to Facebook killer

Stephens took his six-piece Chicken McNuggets and declined to wait for the fries, however.

Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg said: "Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Robert Godwin Sr".

Restaurant owner Thomas DuCharme Jr and a supervisor told him his fries were delayed, but he eventually drove off and was chased by police before he stopped and shot himself dead.

State police continue to work with federal and OH authorities, trying to build a timeline of the last few days in the life of Steve Stephens.

"We have a lot of work and we will keep doing all we can to prevent tragedies like this from happening".

Pennsylvania State Police look over a auto as they investigate the scene where Steve Stephens, the suspect in the random killing of a Cleveland retiree posted on Facebook, was found shot dead Tuesday, April 18, 2.

State police major William Teper said the trooper who rammed Stephens' vehicle "saw him pull the gun out and shoot himself".

Stephens' mother told CNN she called him after learning about the video, and he had told her he was shooting people because he was "mad with his girlfriend".

Police say Godwin is the only known victim. The suspect then posted a video on the killing online with a confession.

"She's the reason that this is about to happen to you", Stephens told the elderly father of nine in the video. And so, I just would want him to know that even in his worst state, he's loved...that God loves him, even in the bad stuff that he did to my dad...even though he's going to have to go through many things to get better, there's worth in him. "And as long as there's life in him, there is hope for him too".

"She (the drive-thru worker) was already on the phone at that time, so hats off to my crew and the managers, I'm just so proud of them".

After the Godwin killing, a nationwide manhunt ensued, ending in Stephens' death not far from where he was spotted at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania.

"The next thing I know, they're approaching the auto".
