Pence assures Japan: America is with you '100 percent'

"I think the path of negotiations with North Korea has been a colossal failure now for more than 25 years", Pence told the Washington Post. "We're definitely not seeking conflict or regime change, but we are committed to defending our people and our allies".

Meanwhile, US vice president Mike Pence warned North Korea not to test the resolve of America's military, promising it would make an "overwhelming and effective" response to any use of conventional or nuclear weapons. He says the Trump administration's plans to simplify the USA tax code and cut the corporate tax rate will "benefit every business represented here today".

"North Korea openly states that its ballistic missiles are meant to deliver nuclear weapons to strike cities in the United States, the Republic of Korea, and Japan", Ross said.

In a separate interview with CNN, the vice president said that "the only thing we need to hear from North Korea is that they are ending and ultimately dismantling their nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles program".

Known for its provocative rhetoric, weapons tests and claims of having long-range delivery systems and even a miniaturized a nuclear weapon, North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un has consistently threatened to use nuclear weapons against the US.

According to the statement, Seoul, Washington and Tokyo also used the DTT as an opportunity to assess the results of recent joint military drills conducted by the three allies in South Korean and Japanese waters, including a trilateral anti-submarine warfare exercise conducted for the first time this year in April. If the USA can't effectively shoot down North Korea's test missiles, it could embolden Kim Jong-un's regime.

And while the tensions with North Korea have dominated Pence's trip, the goal of it is to promote USA trade in the region.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Vice President Mike Pence have declared that our policy of "strategic patience" with Pyongyang is at an end.

At that event he said that the Trump administration is actively working with its allies in the region - Japan, South Korea and China - to deploy diplomatic and economic pressure on North Korea to try to achieve a nuclear-free Korean peninsula.

In response, Pyongyang is promising it will continue to build up its "nuclear deterrent" and respond in kind to any hostile moves, perceived or real. Perhaps this time, Congress would follow the Constitution.

A video showed missiles flying towards the United States, before the U.S. flag went up in flames. Russian Federation and Iran are reportedly negotiating with the Taliban.

To counter Vladimir Putin's Russian Federation, we have moved USA and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation troops into Poland, the Baltic States, Romania and Bulgaria. We are reportedly preparing to back the Saudis in the latest escalation of their war on the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

In Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters he hopes "there will be no unilateral actions like those we saw recently in Syria and that the USA will follow the line that President Trump repeatedly voiced during the election campaign".
