Police department's 4/20 operations tweet goes viral

April 20, or 4/20, is a day associated with celebrating the use of marijuana.

"420" is a day annually dedicated to cannabis consumption and the pot culture, celebrated in America from coast-to-coast with smoke-ins, and demonstrations in places recreational marijuana use is not yet legal (like Minnesota).

The tweet showed an officer hiding behind a garbage can with a net, closely watching a few bags of chips, a bag of White Castle, a can of Mountain Dew and some video games.

The Wyoming Police Department's 4/20 tweet from previous year featuring a cardboard box "trap" with Cheetos and Doritos also went viral.

Last year, the department tried to "catch" smokers by placing Doritos and Cheetos under a classic box-and-stick trap. "Discreet traps have been set up throughout the city today".

The tweet posted Thursday morning has since gone viral.

That tweet received more than 10,000 retweets and more than 16,000 likes. During the 2017 Super Bowl, it made headlines for a jab at Justin Bieber: "If you drive drunk tonight we're going to subject you to that Justin Bieber T-Mobile Super Bowl Commercial the entire way to jail".
