Samsung Galaxy Note 8: Looks Like Galaxy S8 But Just Bigger

With each new edition of its flagship line, Samsung is used to launch an ultra-resistant variant called Active. When the the new flagship smartphones went up for pre-order in the United States and South Korea last week, Samsung revealed that the lineup is proving more popular than last year's Galaxy S7.

According to the new reports which we have, the company is working on a new smartphone which goes by the model number SM-G892A.

This seams to work for the company as the Galaxy Edge phones enjoyed rather good sales and the Galaxy S8 already looks like a victor.

The Galaxy S8 Active is expected to come with a larger battery than seen on the S8, not unlike previous Active variants.

Samsung has also been praised for its Infinity Display on the Galaxy S8, and the screen itself melts towards the side and gives a great first impression of a wraparound panel.

Market sources in India reveal that the Galaxy S8 may be available for Indian consumers between Rs 50,000 and Rs 60,000, but Samsung India has not officially commented on local prices.

Let's have a look at Galaxy S8 pricing in the table below. It looks similar to the recently just announced Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones, with a full-frontal screen and has no physical home button.

The Galaxy S8 Active should have smaller bezels than the S7 while still being durable.

Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ at a press event in March. Would you be interested in buying an Active variant if it makes its way to India? In South Korea more than 720,000 units of the smartphones have been pre-booked. Both the phones feature 64GB of internal storage with support for storage expansion via dedicated microSD card slot. The active line has generally offered almost the same specifications as the Galaxy handset released for that year but added a rugged exterior shell, water and dust resistance, and other improvements. Both devices have already received a huge response in Korea, and have broken all-time pre-order records, surpassing the Galaxy S7 duo.
