Samsung Galaxy S8 vs LG G6: Which is best?

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is priced at $720 (around Rs 46,700) and Galaxy S8+ at $840 (around Rs 54,500) in the US. This will feature curved dual-edge display, 18.5:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels present on the bottom and top. You can be delighted about some exciting features that will come along with these smartphone models.

The Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ display, the Galaxy S8+, on the other hand, has a slight bigger screen measuring 6.2 inches (Quad HD+). But, Samsung released Galaxy S8 devices powered by Exynos 8895 processor. Samsung isn't launching a new Edge phone this year, because probably, both its new Galaxy S phones have just the right amount of curves and Edge-functionality built right into them. From the design point of view, there are a few changes such as fingerprint sensor has moved to the rear whereas the front has an on-screen home button sorts with haptic technology. Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch QHD+ (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The storage is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card support. These phones also come with Samsung's own take on virtual assistance, via Bixby and house a dedicated Bixby button on-board.

According to our survey, market feedback to Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ (abbreviated as "S8") has been better than expected since their unveiling. Both the new Samsung flagships will be sold exclusively via Flipkart and you can pre-order the phones starting 3 p.m. today. Similar to the setup on the iPhone 7 Plus, one of the sensors on the Galaxy Note 8 will be coupled with a telephoto lens, allowing it deliver 3x optical zoom. The Galaxy S8 largely sticks with what worked last time around, hardware-wise, with another 12-megapixel main camera with f/1.7 aperture.

Connectivity options include a USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v5.0, Global Positioning System and NFC.
