Cavs' JR Smith questionable for Game 3 with sore hamstring

Cavs' JR Smith questionable for Game 3 with sore hamstring

One of Cleveland's best perimeter defenders, Smith has been assigned to IN star Paul George IN the series.

Cleveland Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving, right, drives to the basket against Indiana Pacers' Myles Turner (33) in the first half in Game 2 of a first-round NBA basketball playoff series, Monday, April 17, 2017, in Cleveland.

"It's complete ignorance", George said.

Reigning NBA champions the Cleveland Cavaliers have developed a habit of giving away late-game leads, but LeBron James is not losing sleep over that trend and feels his team are on the cusp of their top form. League insiders reckon Anthony would gladly waive his no-trade clause for a possible move to Cleveland, where he can partner with good friend LeBron James.

The Pacers almost won Games 1 and 2 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series vs. the Cavaliers, but coming and close and succeeding is the difference between a 2-0 and the 0-2 hole where the Pacers reside. "For her to let me do that or let me do certain things is really cool and I appreciate that".

This was the first time that LeBron, Love and Kyrie all had at least 25 points in the same playoff game since joining forces in advance of the 2015 season.

If Smith can't go in Game 3, the Cavs will likely start Shumpert, who did a nice job harassing George during the third quarter when the Cavs took control and opened a 19-point lead.

"I thought we came out kind of passive", coach Nate McMillan said. George named names, though the Pacers seemed to take no offense. IN is 0-9 when dropping the first two games in a series. "We believe in each other, we trust in each other and it was not a situation like there were hurt feelings in the locker room".

George is averaging 30.5 points, 7.0 assists and 6.5 rebounds in the first two games, similar to the numbers he had during a five-game winning streak that got the Pacers into the playoffs.

Paul George was again torching the Cavaliers, with 18 first-half points, and Tyronn Lue discussed how (primarily) Shumpert's defense helped take him out of rhythm.

Ever since IN took George at No. 10 overall IN the 2010 draft, the 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward has envisioned bringing IN its first National Basketball Association title. The Pacers just can not stop Cleveland enough to win this game. It is was it is and I didn't lose any sleep over it.

"You can't separate the two because it's life and for me it goes hand in hand", he said. "I mean, honestly, Kyle is probably one of the most efficient guys we have from the free throw line on our team".
