Celtics Coach: If Smart made a gesture, 'it's unacceptable'

Their output has caught up to those desires so far during the postseason.

The Chicago Bulls powered past the Boston Celtics 111-97 Tuesday to take a 2-0 lead over the Eastern Conference top seeds in their National Basketball Association playoff series, while the Toronto Raptors avoided falling into an 0-2 hole.

"There's flaws with them, there's flaws with us, " Wade said Thursday. Rondo, a former Celtic who won a championship in Boston, just missed the 11th triple-double of his playoff career with 11 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds. Neither did Dwyane Wade. "Everybody's putting in extra work right now, watching film, working on their game, and that's where your confidence always comes from".

The Celtics-Bulls game is the first of three Game 3s on Friday night.

After a better start by the Celtics, a familiar theme started to take hold as the Bulls took control by again dominating on the offensive glass.

NEED TO KNOW: Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook had 51 points - on 43 shots - in Game 2 and the Thunder lost anyway. Boston hosted the Bulls at TD Garden through the first two games, this time they will be playing on the Bulls turf. "That's the way you get anybody to think the game a little bit more - when they're not comfortable". The run in the second quarter there, where we had a few opportunities there in transition that we didn't convert and they ended up getting out from a tied game to a six- or eight-point lead.

Zipser, Nikola Mirotic and Robin Lopez are all solid, but if they're going for 13-20 points each, it's a problem.

The Bulls, 41-41 in the regular season, are attempting to become the sixth No. 8 seed to upset a No. 1 in the first round - and the first since the Philadelphia 76ers upset Chicago in the 2012 play-offs.

Oddsmakers, though, didn't see Boston as a slam dunk to get by the Bulls.

Jimmy Butler scored 30 points during Game 1. When the Celtics have made the adjustment, the Bulls already have it countered. "I feel like that can really help us out".

Celtics guard Avery Bradley heard Rondo yelling and conceded the ex-Boston floor general was right. And we just have to be able to focus on the next possession better. We understand what we have and we understand what our capabilities are, but we also understand that we're playing a tough team. He finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in his first playoff return to Boston after helping them win a NBA Title in the '07-'08 season. Butler also posted eight rebounds and eight assists.

"I can't wait for (tomorrow) night's game".

"So these two games, obviously it's great that we're up 2-0, but it could have easily been 1-1 as well". Have failed to score 100 points in three of their last four postseason games dating back to previous year. "One thing I learned about this team is through adverse situations, this team sticks together".

When asked if the Bulls have three legitimate options, Wade said, "We definitely do. You have to continue to be positive and go out there and play hard no matter what the outcome is". And the noise is not going to be for you. "The best teams overcome any type of adversity".
