Saints Row series taking over GOG.com with a DRM-free release of Saints Row IV, GOG Connect for all Saints Row games and a free Saints Row 2 for everyone.

CD Projekt is on a mission to demonstrate that GOG is the best PC digital distribution platform on the planet. To receive the free game all you have to do is to login to your GOG.com account or create a new, if you don't have one already, and click on the giveaway banner on GOG.com's main page. There's no catch here, you simply need a GOG account and you're pretty much ready to go. Unlike Steam, GOG is DRM-free.

The Deep Silver Sale and the Saints Row games on GOG Connect will be available until Thursday, April 27, 10 AM UTC. Players can use the GOG Connect feature to import their Steam games to the GOG library.

You can get the free copy of Saints Row 2 until Saturday, April 22, till 10 am UTC, while Saints Row games in GOG Connect will be available to claim until Thursday, April 27, till 10 am UTC.

Expect to dish out $4.99 for both the games as there is a 75% sale on Deep Silver games, and keep in mind to pick up Saint's Row 2 for free. To celebrate, GOG.com and Saints Row publishers Deep Silver are also offering copies of Saints Row II for free, to everyone, for the next 48 hours.

On top of all that, GOG is running a week-long 75 percent off Deep Silver sale which includes the Saints Row series, the Metro series and more. Saints Row 2 was the last "serious" entry in the Saints Row franchise before developer Volition fully embraced the insane, but even Saints Row 2 had the beginnings of the humor that permeates modern Saints Row games, including the upcoming spiritual successor Agents of Mayhem.

The Saints Row franchise started as an open world action-adventure game that told the story of the Third Street Saints gang and their rise to power.
