Katherine Heigl on 'Unforgettable,' overcoming 'mommy guilt'

Like last year's When The Bough Breaks, the new female-focused psycho-stalker thriller Unforgettable seeks to occupy that sweet spot between Fatal Attraction and the Lifetime Movie Network.

Heigl, who gave birth in December, ultimately chose to name her baby boy after her husband, musician Josh Kelley.

Unforgettable co-stars Rosario Dawson and opens in theaters Friday.

Kassianides, who plays the nefarious Michael Vargas, couldn't help but gush about working on a film with "strong" and "powerful women". "I don't know why, I just struggled with it", Katherine told Jimmy. "I just was able to play it very seriously because I thought I was on the edge of death". "And my 8-year-old said, 'Can I see?' and I showed her and she goes, 'Well you can't wear that!"

"I think Joshua is a lovely name".

She said: "I've already tried to have this conversation [with Josh], but it's so amusing - at eight weeks, he's like, 'I'm not talking about this right now!' I think once you have two, it doesn't matter anymore!" Dawson, meanwhile, effortlessly embodies the "cool girl" and easily navigates her character's twin modes of frantic and dazed as her situation gets more fraught. "You have to take the humanity of the character to some point so that it's relatable".

Besides boasting an all-star cast, Unforgettable marks the directorial debut of Denise Di Novi, best known for producing Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Heigl has been promoting her new film, Unforgettable, for weeks, and she says the most unforgettable thing about the process has been tackling the challenges of being a new mom while on a nation-wide press tour.
