McDonald's Order Trips Up Cleveland Facebook Slaying Suspect

The manhunt for the suspect accused of killing a person and airing it on Facebook Live is over, thanks in part to a McDonald's drive thru team in Harborcreek, Pennsylvania.

When the driver of the white Fusion with OH tags reached the payment window at 11 a.m. Tuesday, an employee recognized him as murder suspect Steve Stephens. It was loud and distinctive", Wheeler said."The next thing I know, they're approaching the auto.

"I could not do that if I did not know God, if I didn't know him as my God and my savior, I could not forgive that man", she said. "He didn't look that different than the picture but his beard was trimmed down".

Stephens made the 74-year-old Godwin say Lane's name before gunning him down at random Easter Sunday on Cleveland's East Side, police say.

A brief State Police statement said that a Glock Model 30-S.45 caliber pistol was found in the white Ford Fusion believed driven by Stephens, who was initially identified by a drive through worker at McDonalds on Buffalo Road. Police were on the way by the time he reached the pickup window.

"Basically just told him it was gonna be a minute for his fries, which it wasn't, really".

"She's the reason why this is about to happen to you", Stephens said on a video posted on Facebook. He took his nuggets and drove off.

"He didn't want to wait for the fries, which was fine", DuCharme said.

In addition to improving our reporting flows, we are constantly exploring ways that new technologies can help us make sure Facebook is a safe environment. In a controlled move, police rammed the back of the suspect's vehicle to cause it to lose control. They had their guns out but when he shook his head, they lowered their guns."Stephens killed himself, authorities said.State police Major William Teper Jr. said the trooper who bumped Stephens' auto "saw him pull the gun out and shoot himself".
