Police discover Bills lineman Kouandjio wandering in field

He did not appear at the Bills' minicamp practice held on Thursday, Buffalo News reports.

Bills offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio remained in a Buffalo-area hospital Thursday afternoon after a freakish encounter with police Tuesday.

The Buffalo News reported Kouandjio was found in a field not far from the scene of a auto accident Tuesday.

Cyrus Kouandjio has an understandable excuse for why he is now missing organized team activities with his Buffalo Bills teammates, he's now receiving medical attention at a local hospital.

The complete circumstances are still a mystery, and out of respect for Kouandjio's public profile and the community guidelines, we would prefer that commenters restrain their speculation about the reasons for this incident until more information is known. When a sheriff went to detain him, the offensive tackle yelled "Shoot me!". When authorities spoke with Kouandjio, they say he was compliant, courteous and respectful the entire time.

Kouandjio was not arrested following the incident but was taken to the hospital for observation. They found his auto abandoned on the side of the road.

A second-round pick by the Bills in 2014, Kouandijo has started in seven of the 25 games he's played in with the team.
