Portland Metro Thursday Weather: Cloudy and cool with showers and possible thunderstorms

Moderate to heavy rain is expected through the region this morning and afternoon, continuing through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Rain showers linger, with overnight low temperatures around 43 degrees.

Patchy areas of fog this morning will give way to mostly sunny skies.

Friday, showers coming to an end with a partly cloudy skies by the afternoon. Highs in the low to mid 80s. Southeast wind of 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Sunday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Lows in the lower 30s.

On Friday skies remain partly cloudy with highs in the low/ mid-80s and have winds from the southwest at 10-20 miles per hour. A few showers may linger around dawn, but most of the day looks dry. Winds will be breezy, ranging at least in the teens and 20s with even stronger gusts.

Mostly cloudy on Wednesday as a developing low pressure moves up the Eastern Seaboard. North northeast wind 5 to 8 miles per hour. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Therefore, the rain chances for tomorrow are backed down a bit, and widespread severe weather is not anticipated. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 63.

Friday and Saturday could bring some minor flooding concerns to the area, with up to three inches of rain in the weekend forecast. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62.
