Trump says media won't give him credit for his accomplishments

Mr Trump's first 100 days will fall on April 29.

Trump has shown a strong focus on what he can get done in his first 100 days in office, and it's been clear for weeks that he's known it would be a major early measure of his presidency.

This week on Money Talking, host Charlie Herman talks with Rick Newman of Yahoo Finance and Catherine Rampell of The Washington Post about whether or not Trump has lived up to the promises he made voters on what he'd accomplish in his first 100 days.

Also casting a shadow over Trump's first 100 days is a set of ongoing investigations into Russian election interference and potential ties between members of Trump's presidential campaign and Moscow.

Here's how far the Trump administration has gotten with his 100 days agenda.

"You're going to have such great healthcare at a tiny fraction of the cost and it's going to be so easy", Trump said during an October 2016 rally.

His attempt to find a replacement for Obamacare failed to secure enough support among Republicans on Capitol Hill. He seemed to name the Supreme Court as one major achievement, with the confirmation of Justice Neil Gorsuch to the bench. The rollout of the initial executive order prompted mass confusion and massive protests at US airports as crowds flooded global arrival terminals and Green Card holders were barred from entering the country.

Among other things, the ambitious plan promised repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, reforming the tax code, ending illegal immigration, repairing infrastructure and fixing Social Security.

But his health care bill didn't come up for a vote in the House and his travel ban was blocked in the courts. That move drew a sharp contrast between Trump and his predecessor, former President Barack Obama, who threatened action against Assad should he use chemical weapons but then did not follow through when the Syrian dictator did just that.
