Will the Bucks ever abandon their aggressive trapping defence against the Raptors?

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the San Antonio Spurs will both be trying to take commanding 3-0 leads as small road favorites in their respective first-round playoff series on Thursday.

After winning Game 2, the Toronto Raptors aren't out of the woods yet. Their physicality sent a message that they weren't satisfied with just making the postseason. The over has cashed in each of the first two games of the series as well along with seven of 10 dating back to the regular season. We did what we were supposed to, we played hard. Unlike the other two high seeds Cleveland and Toronto, San Antonio has covered both of the first two games against Memphis, winning them by an average of 21.5 points.

As fun as that was for Milwaukee, who hadn't won an opening round playoff game on the road since 1983, did they just wake a sleeping giant? DeRozan said he expects Lowry to contribute any way he can in Game 2, even if his shots aren't falling. After that it's just about playing basketball. Toronto was able to outrebound the Bucks 47-43 but lost the turnover battle 11-5 that led to 19 Milwaukee points. "We must have maximum energy and effort on the floor, precise execution and really go after and get this game". Coach Casey tinkered with the rotations, starting Carroll and playing Ibaka, Tucker and Patterson together to close the game, also inserting Delon Wright for a good stretch in the first half. It's only one game at a time.

This year, Lowry passed on the extra practice, instead sounding defiant about his plan of attack for Tuesday's Game 2.

"It could be Malcolm or it could be Delly sitting and Tony in, but it's about the team". The 31-year-old scored just four points and missed all six of his three-point attempts in Game 1. He has to be accounted for, but that does not mean they can go back to not showing Antetokounmpo a bevy of bodies.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is in incredible form, finishing with 24 points to go with 15 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Even with 30 points from their bench, including 18 from Moose and 20 from Khris Middleton, Milwaukee still couldn't make enough plays when it mattered the most. The effort was there and the Bucks made Toronto earn this one to the last whistle. According to NBA.com's John Schuhmann, Bucks head coach Jason Kidd wanted to send Maker to the D-League, but he couldn't - the Bucks won't have their own D-League team until next season. "All throughout the night they were looking to trap [DeRozan and Lowry] and take them away as much as possible, so we have to do our job collectively of relieving the pressure on them". Clippers guard Jamal Crawford is at.378 after going 4 for 12 in Game 1. Serge Ibaka, after reports he may not play due to a bum ankle, gave the Raptors a much-needed defensive presence at the rim and chipped in with jumpers on the offensive end.
