'Deadliest Catch' star Sig Hansen arrested after alleged assault

According to the Seattle Police Department, an Uber driver picked Hansen and two other passengers up in Ballard after 2 a.m.

According to the police report obtained by TMZ the Uber app had canceled his ride despite Hansen being in the vehicle with his family.

"When the driver told them that Uber doesn't work that way, they can't pay with cash, the suspect became insistent", he said.

The Deadliest Catch star was booked at King County Jail and will reportedly be released on a bail of $2000.

The driver drove away, parked nearby and called police. According to the police report. the app canceled his ride, even though Sig was already in the auto with his family. "He said, 'What story?' He was obviously intoxicated". Apparently, Sig tried to offer the driver $100 to continue the trip but the Uber employee refused as it's against company policy. The Scandinavian-heavy neighborhood marked Norwegian Constitution Day on Wednesday, though it wasn't immediately clear if Hansen had been partaking in post-Syttende Mai revelry prior to the altercation. "After I told him there was a dent, Hansen stated, 'Of course I'll pay for it!'"

Deadliest Catch star Sig Hansen has apologized for an altercation with an Uber driver that ended up in his arrest. His estranged daughter, Melissa Eckstrom, 29, is now suing the cable TV star, claiming her father sexually abused her as a toddler, while her parents were divorcing almost three decades ago.
