In the event, we get our first look at gameplay footage for the game.

As well as new game modes, numerous landscapes within Destiny are new as well.

Destiny 2 is slated to have a release across current-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) and PC on 8th September 2017, with timed-exclusive deals for PS4, such as early access to new content and major expansions.

Bungie and Activision last night lifted the lid on Destiny 2.

Created to help solo players quickly jump into multiplayer games, the feature enables single players to partner with a clan for a short period in order to tackle a mission. Though Blizzard is also part of the Activision family, this is the first time a non-Blizzard title has been on The new enemy in "Destiny 2", named Gaull, believes the Traveler, the enigmatic being that gives Guardians their powers, should have given those powers to he and the Red Legion, his band of followers.

To make your life even easier, we've embedded the YouTube player above, so simply head back here at 6pm BST tonight to watch the Destiny 2 gameplay reveal live. In fact, we can't remember a game that had this much hype behind it.
