Sachin: A Billion Dreams declared tax-free in Kerala and Chhattisgarh

Sachin's meeting with PM Modi comes just a week ahead of the release of his much-awaited film.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar will be seen promoting his biographical drama, "Sachin: A Billion Dreams", on a Marathi chat show.

Superstar Aamir Khan said his favourite "Sachin moment" was at the premiere of his movie "Lagaan" where sports legend Sachin Tendulkar was completely engrossed in the cricket match sequence of the film.

The former India cricket captain also thanked PM Modi for his special message 'Jo khele, Wahi khile!'

"Sachin: A Billion Dreams" traces the journey of Sachin Tendulkar who lorded the pitch over his brilliant 24-year global career and represented the hopes and aspirations of millions of people across the country. "His life journey & accomplishments make every Indian proud & inspire 1.25 billion people". Sachin also speaks about achieving his dream of lifting the World Cup and says that he had to wait 22 years for the goal to be achieved, There were 5 World Cups in between, he added. There were five World Cups in between.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Sachin's biopic has been declared tax free in two states - Kerala and Chhattisgarh.

A decision to this effect was taken by the state cabinet, in compliance with the government's policies, read a statement from the makers of the film.

Sachin's biopic, Sachin: A Billion Dreams is up for a May 26, 2017 release and promoting that film, Aamir Khan who rarely tweets, took to Twitter congratulating Sachin and urging his fans to go and watch the film.
