Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain seeking Arsenal exit: Gunners want more than £25m

But the 23-year-old was expecting to sit down with the club and discuss his future when the season finished.

It isn't just Alexis Sanchez who Arsenal have entering the final year of his contract, with England global Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain another facing an uncertain future according to John Cross of the Mirror.

Particularly in Oxlade-Chamberlain's case though, with the England global staying fit, proving his quality and showing great versatility to fill various roles last season, the last thing Arsenal want to do is leave it much longer to convince him to commit his future, as there is unsurprisingly a long list of interested parties ready to swoop in the event that he decides to leave.

Oxlade-Chamberlain only has one year remaining on his current contract with Arsenal and The Sunday Times claims that Wenger has not made a serious attempt to keep the player at the club.

But well into June and Oxlade-Chamberlain is still waiting for news on his contract.

This uncertainty has drawn the attention of rivals Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are yet to agree new contracts. Klopp is also reported to be on the lookout for another option to play out wide, even with the signing of AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah now rumoured to be all but wrapped up pending a medical.

Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Arsenal in 2011 and has gone out to turn out 194 times for the club, including 129 appearances in the Premier League.
