Authorities: 14 people go to hospital after deck collapse

According to KFBB, those injured were attending a memorial service at Glacier Camp's Spruce Lodge, when the balcony on the second floor collapsed.

Six people injured were transported by air ambulance.

The Daily Inter Lake newspaper reported a woman said she was among about 50 people on the deck at Glacier Presbyterian Camp Saturday afternoon when the structure overlooking Flathead Lake collapsed.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell said Saturday evening there were no fatalities in the incident. The station reports that about 10 of those people drove themselves to the hospital.

All patients were in stable condition as of 7 p.m. Saturday, and their injuries range from mild to severe, the Somers Rural Fire Department said. Somers fire says no casualties reported at this point.

LAKESIDE- Twenty people were hurt after 5 are in critical condition after a deck collapsed during a funeral in Lake County. They say children up to elderly people were injured. He was a longtime Flathead Valley firefighter who died in April.

The incident occurred at Glacier Camp in Lakeside.

'We are grateful to all of the EMTs/Paramedics, fire departments and first responders to came to our aid. The camp hosted a summer retreat over the weekend.

The department says it doesn't believe the county has regulations on the maximum capacity of balconies or decks.
