Kylian Mbappe only wants Real Madrid move

According to Goal.com, Real Madrid and AS Monaco met to discuss the former's interest in teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe although the Ligue 1 club doesn't want to sell.

But Petit, who played for Monaco between 1988 and 1997, emphasised the relatively short time the exciting youngster has been playing first-team football and suggested a move could be detrimental to his development.

The France star impressed for Monaco last season, helping them beat Paris St-Germain to the Ligue 1 title.

It is also claimed that Arsenal are facing stiff competition from Real Madrid for the signature of the 18-year-old, with the Spanish side said to have already tabled a £118m bid for Mbappe.

Mbappe has been linked with a number of other clubs around Europe, including Arsenal and Liverpool, but the France global has his heart set on a move to the Bernabeu, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

Ronaldo, unhappy at Madrid because of a perceived lack of support over his battle with Spanish tax authorities, could yet leave the Bernabeu this summer - with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain both interested in signing the Ballon d'Or victor.

"He is aware of his qualities, he is aware he is just 18 years old so he has a good opportunity at Monaco because it is a lovely city, and a world-class academy".

"But everything moves fast in football".

"Of course, the economic part is important but I think with time things happen naturally".

"I think he still has to prove his qualities with Monaco, even if he will have the last word".
