Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we'll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe.

Tottenham will be desperate to keep him, and especially given it's a direct rival interested, but time will tell if Dier is ready to push for a move to Man Utd this summer.

Dier can play a number of vital roles, including defensive midfield, centre-back and full-back.

Dier was reminded by Pochettino in March that it was Spurs who "provided all the tools" for him "to be a Premier League player".

United spent over £30m on Benfica's Victor Lindelof and it's widely expected the Swedish global will partner Eric Bailly as Jose Mourinho looks to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

The England global could reportedly even be used as a makeweight in a potential swap deal for apparent Mourinho target Eric Dier who is valued at £50 million by Spurs.

As well as United's ace, Tottenham are also reportedly looking at Swansea's Alfie Mawson.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy's £50 million valuation of Dier is more than United expected to pay for the 23-year-old who has developed considerably under Mauricio Pochettino.

It would then be down to the player to decide whether he wants to go to Old Trafford and there's no doubt Dier would be able to demand a sizeable wage rise on the £70,000-a-week deal he signed last September.
