Ronaldo tells Mendes to get him Man Utd return

CRISTIANO RONALDO wants to leave Real Madrid - but who could they sign to replace him? "That would be the transfer of the decade for me".

Humour me for a moment, if you would, as I'm going to suggest that it could actually make sense for Real Madrid to let Cristiano Ronaldo go. We heard that he will be offered another year at the club but the injury has messed that up.

United sold Ronaldo to Real in the summer of 2009 for £80m and they have tried to set up a deal for his return on at least one occasion since his departure.

United's only signing so far has been Sweden defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.

Ramon Calderon, the man who brought Cristiano Ronaldo to Madrid from Manchester, says that changing the player's mind about leaving will be very hard.

"The same year I had the problem with Robinho and he wanted to leave".

Ronaldo hit 55 goals for club and country last term, as Real claimed lifted a La Liga and Champions League double. "He will be always playing for a big club and trying to get more titles and more personal awards".

"I hope he hasn't chose to leave but if he has already made his mind up, it will be hard to change the situation".

United are one of the few clubs which could satisfy his financial needs (but remember, it's not about money) while he shares the same agent, Jorge Mendes, as Jose Mourinho (still not about money).

On Mourinho, Calderon added: "The relationship in Madrid wasn't the best but that doesn't mean he doesn't want to go back to Manchester where he is very grateful of what happened".

"He delayed his move to Madrid for a year because Ferguson was like a father to him".

It will be a sensational deal for United should Ronaldo seal a move back to the club.

"I don't see him playing in China or the Middle East". I'm sure he's innocent.

The 26-year-old told the official website of the Confederations Cup: "It goes without saying that he's a great player".
