The 25-year-old has pleaded not guilty.

Tuesday, her attorneys filed a motion for a protection order to determine whether the leaked material can be shown in court.

The FBI arrested victor in early June after victor allegedly leaked a top-secret NSA report detailing a 2016 Russian cyberattack on a voting software company.

In a statement, the agency said victor "printed and improperly removed classified intelligence reporting, which contained classified national defense information".

The report claims Russian military intelligence hacked at least one unnamed voting software supplier in the United States, and attempted to gain access to more than 100 local election officials prior to last November's general election.

The trial for a the Georgia government contractor accused of leaking NSA documents is set for late October.

Victor and attorneys are now meeting to discuss a protection order.

"The primary objective of the protective order is just to create parameters for us, so that if there's any type of information that is classified at any level, everyone knows what the rules of engagement will be", Nichols told CNN affiliate WRDW after the hearing.

Epps also said he wants the trial to start as soon as possible, preferably in October.

The charge, willful retention and transmission of national defense information, could bring victor up to 10 years in prison.
