Mum arrested 'trying to show kids good time'

An Oregon woman is facing criminal child endangerment charges after witnesses say she tried to show her kids a "good time" in an extremely unsafe way, police told local media outlets.

An Oregon mother has been accused of endangering her two young by towing them behind her auto in a little red wagon.

The wagon, drivers told police, had two children in it.

At one point, witnesses told police that the 2-year-old began crying as the wagon went up on two wheels before Donohue stopped the vehicle and put that child in the auto with her and continued pulling the other two children behind her auto. One motorist told police they pulled out around a auto, nearly causing a collision.

The Register-Guard reported that the police logs list the two youngest children as ages 3 and 5, while KGW in Portland reported them as 2 and 4.

The Department of Human Services took the children and placed them with a family member, according to KVAL.

According to The Oregonian, Donahue then stopped and placed the 2-year-old in the auto, but continued to drive with the other children in the wagon. Several sent photos and videos to the police.

According to police, Donahue was driving a white Ford Taurus. The wagon was tied to the vehicle with a strap or similar connector.

Donahue was charged with reckless endangerment.

"I talked to a witness today that said she saw them go by her house in their neighborhood and they were going like 30 miles an hour", Lt. McKee said.
