€70m raid close, interest confirmed in Euro 2016 victor

Alvaro Morata has a buzz cut now, but if you look closely there are remnants of red hair dye - reportedly part of his big reveal for his Manchester United move, according to the Express.

Ander Herrera has promised Manchester United fans he "will do everything possible" to ensure David De Gea doesn't leave the club for Real Madrid this summer.

Speaking in the mixed zone after United began their preseason tour of the United States with Saturday's 5-2 victory over LA Galaxy, Herrera said the speculation over De Gea's future was getting repetitive.

"I don't like to speak about players who aren't ours, because Morata is not our player".

Today CEO Marco Fassone confirmed "it'd be nice to have one from Andrea Belotti, Morata or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang".

It's claimed that a contract worth €10m-a-year net will be on the table for him which could yet be raised, while the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement on a €70m transfer fee.

"It is a right of Madrid to ask for their players the amount they want".

While United missed out on Morata, the club snapped up Lukaku and made the striker the second most expensive transfer in British football history, behind only Paul Pogba.

De Gea, too, enjoyed a solid season for Manchester United, particularly in the Premier League as he kept 14 clean sheets in 35 matches while conceding just 29 goals.

Morata, 24, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabeu after struggling for regular game time last season.

Morata is clear in his understanding that he is not first choice under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

And midfielder Herrera, like United, is determined for his compatriot to stay as he claims De Gea picks up valuable points for his side over the season.
