'Hulk Movie Will Never Happen,' Says Mark Ruffalo

The real question is, how will the events of Thor: Ragnarok lead to this Hulk storyline in Avengers 3 and Avengers 4? "They don't want to make money".

As a result, Norton was replaced by Ruffalo on The Avengers and any potential follow-ups, including Avengers: Age of Ultron and this fall's Thor: Ragnarok.

Universal owned the rights to The Hulk in a licensing agreement with Marvel that predated Marvel making their own production company to make their own movies.

According to the publication, Universal has had all the rights to the "Hulk" franchise since 2003. "Now that I don't think that's insurmountable, by the way, but I don't know where it's going from here for me", he said.

As the Marvel movie universe continues its successful expansion, one of the most popular members of "The Avengers" series will "never" feature in a standalone film, the actor who plays him revealed in an interview during Disney's D23 fan expo.

Unfortunately, even today, Marvel and Universal have not yet agreed on anything regarding "Hulk". Two years ago, he said that he has four movies coming up. The reason? Marvel doesn't have the rights to the Hulk movie. "I think it's four now, but that could always go further".

"Avengers: Infinity Wars" will hit theaters May 4, 2018.

Are you sorry there won't be another standalone Hulk adventure, or just happy we get to keep Ruffalo around in other Marvel movies? The footage that was shown at D23 from Avengers: Infinity War hasn't made its way online yet, but based on the descriptions of the footage, it doesn't sound like it gives us any clues as to what Bruce Banner is up to.
