Threatening letter delivered to Sen. Dean Heller

Police said the break-in occurred early Saturday in Heller's office near Durango Drive in southwest Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Sun reported. Police say neither the building nor Heller's office was burglarized. He has said he is undecided on the new version of the bill released Thursday.

Heller is the only Senate Republican facing re-election in 2018 in a state won by Democrat Hillary Clinton during the November presidential election. Additionally, Nevada's popular governor Republican Brian Sandoval has come out repeatedly against the BCRA. Heller's support is key because if a third GOP lawmaker defects on the bill, it will fail.

He has pointed the Senate bill's dramatic reductions in Medicaid as the primary reason behind his concerns regarding the proposal. Dean Heller's office lobby.

The health care vote was delayed due to Arizona Republican Senator John McCain's surgery.

The police department told CNN in a statement that they received a call from an alarm company representative at a little after 9 a.m. reporting the alarm at the building's main entrance had gone off. Authorities could not confirm whether a note was left. "The LVMPD has an on-going investigation into this incident".
