Battlefield 1 now free to download from Origin and EA Access

It was nearly a month ago when Electronic Arts announced that it would soon be adding both Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 to the Vault of EA and Origin Access. Both games, which launched almost a week apart from one another last October, have hit the service less than a year after release. The latest take on the first World War became a permanent part of the popular subscription service earlier today.

This means those who subscribe to EA Access (Xbox) or Origin Access (PC) will get free access to both of EA's big 2016 shooters.

For those interested, the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass can be obtained for $49.99. Fight in a series of interconnected multiplayer battles in Operations mode, where attackers must break through the defense's line and push the conflict onward across multiple maps. Both services come with a selection of games to download, along with the ability to download trials ahead of a game's release.

EA Access costs £3.99 a month, or a full year costs £19.99. Meanwhile, Origin Access has classic titles dating back to the 90s, like Wing Commander. The Titanfall 2 campaign was particularly well received, though unfortunately the game didn't sell too well during the crowded holiday season.

EA Access/Origin Access is $4.99 a month/$29.99 a year and brings access to a number of EA published games, as well as a 10% discount on EA purchases.

Get EA Access now. After following through on its promise for Titanfall 2 last month, EA has now added Battlefield 1 to the Vault for EA and Origin Access.
