Breath of the Wild on Switch Offers New Way to Obtain Gear

The Tips from the Wild news channel will be accessible through News on the Switch's Home Menu.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is arguably the best game launch this year, with the game getting outstanding review scores across the board.

Technically it only says the channel is due to start tomorrow, so that doesn't necessarily mean an item will be available straight away.

The update has also fixed an issue in the first DLC expansion, The Master Trials, in which defeating certain enemies would not count toward your completion rate.

Nintendo has released a new update for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which includes some fixes for the game's Master Mode as well as new feature that will reward players items for visiting the Switch's news feed. Based on where you are in the game and the location you might miss out on some of the items. The channel is expected to open on August 9.

Nintendo has announced a new way of expanding Breath Of The Wild, via a new update going live tomorrow.

There were also various fixes to improve gameplay in the patch.

It's impossible (as always) to try to discern what Nintendo's motives are here, though if they just thought it'd be fun to have a tips post give you in-game items, that's neat.
