LG's next flagship V30 leaks before unveiling

The lower the number, the more light the sensor can receive, so the V30's lens will be around 25 percent brighter, LG said. For the LG V30, however, it is pulling all the stops by giving it a camera with the largest aperture and the clearest glass lens available in the smartphone market to date.

The LG V30's enhancements should bring a new level of competitiveness among flagship handsets. Now, LG boasts of having the smartphone with the largest aperture, and it's bound to attract a major portion of the mobile phone market.

LG's V series of smartphones have always placed a heavy focus on camera performance, and the V30 will be no different. More than just a premium material, clear glass is able to collect light better than plastic and therefore reproduces color more accurately as well.

Earlier this week, LG confirmed that they will be introducing their V30 high-end smartphone on #August 30Th, during the annual #Ifa event that is scheduled to be held in Berlin, Germany. LG believes it trumps other handsets on those categories as well.

The wide-angle camera has also been upgraded to reduce edge distortion by a third compared to the V20's wide-angle camera.

All of this while keeping the camera module actually smaller than the LG V20 from previous year.

LG also revealed that the camera will be 30% smaller in size when compared to the V20, despite the inclusion of laser detection AF, optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization. It will come with a 6.0-inch plastic OLED FullVision, Corning Gorilla Glass 5-protected QHD+ display with internals that include the latest Snapdragon 835 processor and 4 GB of RAM.
