The spin-off, "Carpool Karaoke: The Series," is executive produced by Corden and will include celebrities with other stars.

Will Smith joins James Corden as the first episode of the "Carpool Karaoke" original series debuts on Apple Music on Tuesday, Aug. 8. In the full version of the episode available exclusively to Apple Music they get rid of the auto and hop into a helicopter instead to perform the R Kelly classic "I Believe I Can Fly".

Metallica will star on next week's show, which will air on August 15 - and the new clip features the thrash giants singing along to some surprising songs. "We consider it not our decision to make", he told the Associated Press Wednesday. "We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want to because I don't think there's any other way we could deal with it, really". But Corden admitted that he hasn't had the chance to speak with Bennington's family members.

Talinda Bennington tweeted "Thank you" in response to reports about Corden's comments. Bennington's death coming on the heels of his good friend Chris Cornell's was even harder to process. At the top of the page, the band has listed resources for those struggling with suicidal thoughts.

Metallica ventured into some surprising musical territory during their appearance on Carpool Karaoke, and they're giving fans a sneak peek with a teaser clip from the upcoming episode.

James confirmed that he gathered the rock group together in his vehicle for the viral segment and noted that it will now be up to Charles's family to decide whether or not it will air on The Late Late Show.
