The Crown season 2: FIRST LOOK trailer teases troubled Queen Elizabeth marriage

In addition, Netflix announced The Crown's second season will premiere on Friday, December 8, 2017, with all of the season's episodes available immediately for binge-watching.

Another one of Elizabeth's Achilles's heel is her sister Margaret and her predisposition to scandal.

Heavy is the head who wears The Crown, especially as humiliating rumors swirl 'round Queen Elizabeth II in a teaser video for Season 2 of Netflix's royal drama. She will also meet President John F. Kennedy (Michael C. Hall) and his wife Jackie (Jodi Balfour).

Are you excited about The Crown season 2?

"The Crown" Season 1 was Netflix's most expensive series to date, but also a smashing success that should pick up a host of Emmys in September.

No offense to Queen Elizabeth II, but her whole philosophy of ruling has been "keep your private life private and say as little as possible", and they've already bogged this show down in Prince Philip's ego, anyway.

Speaking to EW.com, Claire said: "I think [Queen Elizabeth] starts to realize she needs to pay more attention to her personal life now that the other part of her life is going all right". "The world's changing faster than anyone can catch up with". Firstly, there are hints that there may be trouble in her marriage... After all, the show has been getting nothing but love from awards shows all year.

The series and its stars have won numerous awards, including Best Actress and Best Actor at the 23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards for Foy and John Lithgow (who played Prime Minister Winston Churchill), respectively.
