Antonio Conte accuses Chelsea of losing the plot

Burnley added another goal before half-time as Vokes grabbed his second of the match, with Morata clawing one back for the hosts in the second half, as Chelsea look set to start their title defence in defeat.

Conte felt Cahill's dismissal was pivotal to the outcome of Saturday's game against Burnley, with Chelsea 3-0 down at the break following two goals from Sam Vokes and a Stephen Ward strike. That meant the Saints have not scored at home in their last six games. In the next game I don't know if Pedro is able to recover from his injury, but for sure we will have two players out for a ban, Cahill and Fabregas.

"In our pre-season, in every pre-season, I played our best formation and I did the same against Burnley".

With the transfer window remaining open until August 31, The Sun reports that the Premier League champions are looking for potential suitors for the volatile striker and with only Atletico Madrid showing any interest (despite their transfer embargo until January 2018), options are now looking limited for a player who lit up the Premier League last season with some scintillating displays.

"Because through my choices I put the best players that we have with this moment". Our staff weighed in with their expectations for the result.

"I prefer not to answer questions about Diego Costa - for me it's in the past", he said.

Antonio Conte has admitted new forward Alvaro Morata needs to be given time to adapt to his Chelsea team-mates and to English football.

Sean Dyche told a press conference on Thursday he has a fully fit squad to choose from this afternoon, meaning there could be debuts for former Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor, Jon Walters and Phil Bardsley [both from Stoke City] and Jack Cork [from Swansea City].

Chelsea controlled the first 13 minutes, but saw a major obstacle in the 14th minute when Gary Cahill went studs up into Steven Defour.

But they won just once on the road last season, and will be outmatched by both the talent of Chelsea and the atmosphere of Stamford Bridge.
