Yuvraj Singh dropped, Manish Pandey back for ODIs, T20I

Rahul's last limited-overs game for India was against England in the T20I series in January this year as the Karnataka batsman missed the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy and the subsequent West Indies series due to a shoulder injury. Rohit Sharma is a certainty to again wear the blue jersey, but it's still not known whether the selectors would rest Rahul despite being fully fit.

While Yuvraj's place in the side has been questioned by many for the longest time now, he has the backing of skipper Kohli despite a lean run with the bat and below-par fielding.

Four senior bowlers, including pace duo of Mahammed Shami and Umesh Yadav, have been rested along with leading spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

India, who have already pocketed the Test series 2-1 and are dominating the final Test, hold an impressive record against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Indian squad: Virat Kohli (C), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma (vc), K.L. Rahul, Manish Pandey, Ajinkya Rahane, Kedar Jadhav, M.S. Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur.

India will play the first ODI against Sri Lanka on August 20 in Dambulla.

The 15-member squad led by Virat Kohli also features middle order batsman Manish Pandey, who is making a comeback to the ODI side after 2016. While the ODI series conclude on September 3, the one-off T2) will be played on September 6.
