Bengals at early crossroads with visit to banged-up Packers

Unfortunately, the Packers showed they still aren't as good as the Falcons as they got humiliated in Atlanta's home opener. But the Packers won't let that distract them from the goal at hand.

"Our focus is on the uncommon opponent in the Bengals, but we have a lot of work to do ourselves", Packers coach Mike McCarthy said.

It has gotten so bad that Green Bay Packers fans now want Rodgers to re-kindle his relationship with ex-girlfriend Olivia Munn, who he suddenly broke up with a few months ago. Now, they will be without defensive tackle Mike Daniels, who suffered a hamstring injury during the first possession of the game. The team hasn't provided an update on Nelson's injury, but he is expected to miss at least one week.

If he misses any playing time, Green Bay will likely turn to Davante Adams to shoulder the top receiving job as he put together a strong performance against the Falcons with eight catches on 10 targets for 99 receiving yards and a touchdown. Cobb dealt with shoulder injuries last season so if this is an aggravation of his injury from previous year, he too might miss significant time. It might surprise you to know that the Bengals once-stout run defense is ranked second-last in that category right now, giving up 162.5 yards per game on the ground.

When pressed if any of the injuries were season ending, McCarthy said no.

Having to play the games in such a small time frame will make it hard for the injured players that attempt to play through their injuries.

Now, he and the medical staff just have to figure out who'll actually be able to suit up - because a whopping 13 players appeared on the team's injury report Wednesday afternoon.

Overall, this is a game the Packers should be able to win fairly easily, but they should still be wary of the Bengals and not take them very lightly, especially after getting thoroughly beaten by Atlanta last week. It's not going to heal overnight. "I felt okay. From mobility and movement standpoint, I felt good", said Bulaga.
