Ben Affleck Groping Claim Revived by Actress Hilarie Burton

In particular, actor Ben Affleck Tuesday on Facebook expressed sadness and anger surrounding a man who, "used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass and manipulate many women over decades".

Affleck recently spoke out against Harvey Weinstein, condemning the film producer for alleged sexual assault and harassment. "Everyone forgot though." Hilarie responded with "I didn't forget".

"Girls. I'm so impressed with you fearless ones", Burton tweeted, posting a link to a video of an episode of TRL outtakes.

Burton, who was 21 at that time, said that she didn't know how to react then and laughed it off in a nervous situation.

She also wrote in response: 'Ben Affleck fuck off'.

With that, Burton - who is pregnant and expecting her second child with The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan - shared outtakes from TRL, in which she appeared to address the alleged situation.

Reps for Burton and Affleck did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for comment.

The fact that MTV chose to highlight the incident in a "TRL Uncensored" highlight reel and make Burton talk about it like it was just an incident of boys being boys shows just how much the industry is set up to trivialize the harassment of women.

Ben Affleck's reaction was also slammed by Rose McGowan, the actress who played the character of Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series Charmed.

"He comes over and tweaks my left boob", she says in the old footage. Throw in the history of sexual assault allegations following brother Casey Affleck, and many are questioning the sincerity of Ben's post. "If there was ever an event that I was at and Harvey was doing this kind of thing and I didn't see it, then I am so deeply sorry, because I would have stopped it".

"The additional allegations of assault that I read this morning made me sick".
