Huawei Honor 7X goes official with 18:9 screen, dual camera

Honor's press event to announce this phone will be taking place in London, UK on Tuesday, December 5. The RAM is fixed at 4GB, but the storage ranges from 32GB to 128GB and theres room for a microSD card on the hybrid dual SIM slot. The smartphone comes with a 16MP + 2MP cameras at the rear and an 8MP front shooter for selfies. The phone still comes with the Micro USB port which is a drawback.

It comes with a Dual 16 MP + 2 MP main camera with phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. Huawei has put a 5.93-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) curved display featuring a 18:9 screen ratio support and minimal bezels in a unibody metal form factor.

In terms of core hardware, the Honor 7X is powered by a 2.36GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor - which is a custom chip built by Huawei - coupled with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The volume rockers as well as the power/lock buttons are all placed on the right-hand edge of the smartphone and a 3.5mm audio socket is placed on the left bottom edge of the device. The dual-SIM phone runs Android Nougat-based Emotion UI 5.1 and supports 4G LTE connectivity.

Coming to the camera department, the Honor 7X comes with a dual camera setup at the back.

The device is also IP67 certified, making it water and dust resistant. The device is priced at 1299 Yuan, 1699 Yuan, and 1999 Yuan for the 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage variant. The device also supports the company's SuperCharge fast charging technology with the help of a 9V/2A (18W) power adapter.

The phone will be available in Black, Blue, Gold and the price will start from CNY 1,300 (PKR 22,000). Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Fingerprint (rear-mounted) sensor, and Proximity sensor.
