Mesut Ozil's agent reveals positive contract talks with Arsenal

Ozil has under 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to reach an agreement over an extension.

Inter Milan and Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing the former Real Madrid star, however his £350,000-a-week wage demands are a stumbling block.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik (h/t Metro), agent Dr Erkut Sogut spoke about the intentions of the superstar midfielder.

Alexis Sanchez still remains highly likely to leave before next season, with his contract also set to expire next June, and I don't think anybody expects him to negotiate an extended stay in North London.

That update is that the talks between Ozil and Arsenal are actually progressing positively which could lead to a new deal.

"Our contact with Arsenal continues and we are moving in a positive direction", he explained.

"Even if that did happen, he wants to play in the Premier League for at least two to three more years". No player created more chances than him last season (98) and it's the same story so far in the current campaign (15).

The representative of Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has confirmed the Germany worldwide wishes to remain in the Premier League for the next two or three seasons.

"Talks with Arsenal are ongoing, negotiations are going well". Obviously, it's good news that the club could keep hold of one of the key players in the team but it's slightly damning that none of the other top sides in Europe were interested in him if these reports are to be believed.
